This time 20 years ago a young Ben Adams responded to an employment advert in the London Evening Standard.  Oakwell Building Services Limited were advertising for carpenters.  Ben spoke to David and started the very next day on-site in Islington.   In fact, he first worked on our Highbury Site for Furlong Homes, and still works with some of the colleagues he met there and then.  This was the beginning of a great career. 

Ben was made a Director of Oakwell in 2013 proving that you can go from a trainee to a Director if you have the ambition and drive to do so.  Ben has been instrumental in building the Oakwell we know today.  He spear-headed the change of brand in 2021 to Oakwell Carpentry Contractors and is responsible for the continued improvement of our values and culture.  He is keen for our reputation to speak for itself, and we believe it does, but also to ensure our workforce are valued and engaged.  Thank you and congratulations for 20 years’ service Ben, we look forward to the next 20 and all it may bring!
